Justin Caruana is an actor/writer and airline pilot. He studied acting at NIDA, the ATYP and more recently trained in the Meisner Technique at the Actors Pulse. He has a deep love of story, creating unique layered characters and writing screenplays. His flying career has taken him all over this beautiful country including spending years in Broome, Fitzroy Crossing, Darwin and Alice Springs. This time has inspired much of his writing.
In 2017 he co-wrote and funded the 8-minute proof of concept Feed. Justin has developed a large slate of writing work across drama, sci-fi and horror. He aims to create cinematic content with a rich, emotional journey rooted in character. The professional work in his repertoire includes over 80 TVCs, a number of films and a television role as Dr. Martin Schimmel in All Saints.
Justin created Blood Brother Films with Matteo Zingales and Nikki Waterhouse. A boutique production house creating unique cinematic content aimed towards an international platform-based market.
Nikki Waterhouse is a South African/Australian actor, director and writer. She graduated from her Meisner training at The Actors Pulse with the debut stage performance Grace to rave reviews. She is a proud mentor and coach to up-and-coming actors, specializing in character development. Her strong love of storytelling resulted in fellow creatives seeking her advice on writing projects. This has led to a passion pursuing provocative characters, guiding projects and editing stories.
Nikki has been a fundamental part of Blood Brother Films; she has now worked on a number of projects including directing and co-producing a proof of concept short film Feed in 2017.
Matteo Zingales is a film and television composer. Recent work includes the highly acclaimed ABC international series Total Control, feature documentary Machine, ABC series Harrow (Seasons 1 & 2), prime-time Channel 10 drama Five Bedrooms, Netflix’s smash-hit TV series Tidelands, and the critically acclaimed ABC original series Mystery Road (AACTA Award for Best Original Music).
Matteo also recently scored the highly anticipated feature film I Met A Girl which is set for release later this year.
Other projects include the TV Mini-Series Wake in Fright and Showtime’s The Kettering Incident, (both recipients of the AACTA Award for Best Original Music Score in Television) and Foxtel’s Australia Day.
Internationally, Matteo scored the US ABC prime-time TV series Secrets and Lies for two seasons and the HBO feature film Fahrenheit 451, which premiered at the Cannes International Film Festival.
He has an aspiration to write original stories for Australian and international audiences.
