About Max Walker

Max Walker has written and directed some of the most respected and successful productions seen on Australian TV (and beyond) over the last decade. Beginning with a big hit on Australian Story, he went on to direct for shows such as Jamie’s Kitchen Australia, Medical Emergency, Who Do You Think You Are, In Their Footsteps and Grand Designs – to name just a few. Many of these have won or been nominated for highly coveted awards – while other work has screened at some of the world’s most prestigious film festivals, including Tribeca in NYC. His experience ranges from shooting and directing Salam Father (for SBS and Al Jazeera) more-or-less alone in Iraq whilst the country was near paralysed with war – to directing huge multi-camera OB shoots for My Kitchen Rules, currently Australia’s #1 rating show. He recently received seed funding for his first feature, The Peacemaker – and is currently the Senior Production Advisor for the Moby Group.
