About Jane Hampson

Jane Hampson arrived at screenwriting after a career in journalism and politics. Her first screenplay, Between the Lines, developed through Screen Territory’s Ignite/Eurista program won the NT Literary Award and she went on to study at Open Channel and RMIT in Melbourne where, as a student, she won the AWG INSITE Award for Best Unproduced Screenplay at the Adelaide Film Festival with Tigress. She is now developing Tigress with Producer Leanne Tonkes and LA-based script consultant Meg Le Fauve (InsideOut), supported by Film Victoria.

Jane writes across film, TV and the web. Other award-winning work includes the short films, Life through Wool (Isabel Lucas) and Summer Wonder (Gemma Ward), which both screened in cinemas (Palace). She was a finalist in the AWG 2013-14 Inside the Box TV writing competition with The Lady from the Sea.
