Alana Wulff

Alana Wulff is a writer, author and journalist based in Sydney.

Alana holds a Bachelor of Writing from Macquarie University, and recently completed the First Break NSW initiative.

Having started her career as an entertainment and lifestyle journalist for some of Australia’s leading publishers, Alana spent more than a decade interviewing global celebrities and notable personalities, while covering the latest in film, television and music. She then transitioned into copywriting, working with Australia’s top advertising and branding agencies across verbal strategy, tone of voice and naming. In 2021, Alana launched her own writing studio HIMMEL, which provides copy and content for publishers and creative collaborators within the education, arts and culture space.

Throughout her career, Alana has published a number of YA books with Random House and Blackinc, including GIRLISH, a guide to feminism for teen girls, which was released in Australia, the US and Europe. Her skills extend to editing, proofreading and content strategy. She also has significant media training and public speaking skills.

Alana is focused on using her extensive background to pursue a screenwriting career. Her passion lies in creative ideation and storytelling – helping to bring strong narratives and bold characters to life.
