Angela How is a Melbourne-based filmmaker, and an alumna of the UCLA School of Theatre, Film and Television (MFA Directing).
She grew up in Singapore and Australia, and has lived and worked in many countries, including the U.S. (Los Angeles specifically). Angela’s work has screened at many festivals, including the Stockholm International Film Festival, Torino Film Festival, Short Shorts Asia, and at the United Nations. She has also attended the Berlinale Talent Project Market, Writer’s Lab at the Binger Institute, and IFP NYC with a feature film in development.
Besides writing and directing, Angela also edits, and has cut fiction and non-fiction content, including the bilingual comedy series ‘Girl, Interpreted’. Her debut film ‘Rock Sugar’ has been released in North America. She is presently attached to direct feature film ‘My Eyes’ (working title; late development), co-written with producer Tsu Shan Chambers. Angela continues to seek out opportunities to tell visual and thrilling stories about the outsider, and to give voice to those less represented.
Angela is a graduate of the First Break Victoria program.
