Anna is a playwright and emerging screenwriter based in Victoria, with a background as a medical doctor. Her play “Gravida Five” won the Australian Writers’ Guild Emerging Writers’ Award for Longform in 2026, and was shortlisted for Melbourne Theatre Company’s Cybec Electric series. Anna completed the First Break Victoria Note-takers Pathways program in 2026 as well as the AFTRS “Creating A Television Series” program.
As a note-taker, Anna’s 20 years of experience in clinical medicine has left her with advanced skills in the recording and synthesis of complex spoken information, translating superbly to the writers’ room.
Anna’s writing interests lean towards dark comedy and character-led drama, coloured by her intimate and deeply human experiences working in the Australian Healthcare system. She is currently developing work for television and stage, including television pilot Shift, a comedy-drama set in a regional hospital emergency department.
