Brigitte Haviland is a screenwriter and creative with a production background across film, TV and commercials, including time at Flickerfest, Network Ten, Goalpost Pictures and producing independent short form work. She is an AFTRS alumna and recently completed her MFA in Dramatic Writing at NIDA.
Brigitte has also trained in the Co-Curious Stories Online program for emerging Western Sydney screenwriters, the AWG’s First Break program on Note Taking & Script Coordinating, and recently completed a Scripted Ink internship in the Acquisitions & Development team at StudioCanal.
Brigitte’s dramedy web series, I Know You Are, was crowd-funded via the Australian Cultural Fund. Her short, Vibe-Raters, was a grant winner and finalist in Quit Victoria and MQFF’s Keep the Vibe Alive competition. She is currently producing her first feature while developing other long form projects exploring queer identity, neurodivergence, authenticity and belonging, told in her signature dry, comedic tone.
