Charlie Milne (he/him) is a graduate of UniSA’s bachelor of creative industries and completed a postgraduate certificate in film/TV.
When he’s not writing about himself in third-person, he’s running independent production company ‘I’ve Gained Sentience’ with up-and-coming SA director David Friswell. He uses comedy to highlight the beauty in stories that appear bleak, recently working as writer/producer on the IAF-funded short ‘I Am a DVD Player’ and currently working as writer/producer on the Mercury Quicksilver-funded short ‘The Other House’, a dramedy about two kids who meet across three consecutive Christmases.
In 2025, his feature film Tiny Places was shortlisted for both the Emerging Writer’s Awards and the John Hinde Award for Excellence in Science Fiction.
