Showrunner, writer and producer, Drew Proffitt founded Subtext Pictures with Ellie Beaumont in 2016.
Recently, Drew and Ellie created and showran Subtext Pictures’ premiere drama, Dead Lucky, a 4-part crime thriller starring Rachel Griffiths for SBS. Dead Lucky will be released in the US on Sundance Now in September, 2018. Drew and Ellie also co-created and co-showran the first four series of the Logie-award winning hit comedy/drama House Husbands. Drew has worked as a writer, script producer, script editor and developer on several successful series including House Husbands, Lockie Leonard, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Cleverman and Packed to the Rafters.
