Emily Eicke

Emily Eicke is an emerging screenwriter, novelist, notetaker and script co-ordinator based in Naarm / Melbourne.

She loves storytelling that explores multiple perspectives and sides to a conflict, often finding that it is in the grey area that stories are the most interesting.

She loves sci-fi and fantasy where anything is possible, as well as mystery, adventure and children’s television.

Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts Scholars program in History and Literature where she began developing her love for stories. She also holds an Advanced Diploma of Professional Screenwriting at RMIT where she won the Best First Year Pitch Award and the Australian Writers’ Guild Award for Outstanding Student Performance. While at RMIT Emily was a founding committee member of the RMIT Filmmakers Club.

Since studying, Emily has done freelance script coverage, worked as a notetaker in a comedy-drama brainstorming and story conferencing writers’ room and she took part in the Australian Writers’ Guild’s Observer Program.
