Erik Magnusson

Erik is a Sydney-based writer with extensive experience in a range of departments across the media landscape − which has accumulated in a strong combination of production and script development. He has accumulated experience as a professional writers’ room notetaker on projects for Beyond Entertainment, Bunya Productions, and BBC Studios ANZ.

Drawn to the art of the on-screen narrative from a young age, Erik has strived to establish a broad understanding of film and television production to embolden his skill in developing written work for the screen. In addition to working across various roles and procedures, he has studied at various Australian media institutes, predominantly AFTRS, where he recently graduated with a Screenwriting Masters.

Erik has a penchant for evocative genre work with a certain passion for horror and cosmicism. This is observable in his portfolio of written work which includes web series’ and short films that have garnered acclaim from international film festivals.
