Writer/Producer Georgina Jenkins has a 20 year background in the screen industry.
Her participation in the Gender Matters career development initiative The Athena Project led to the establishment of her production company Birds of Prey Entertainment, focused on developing female driven content.
Blackbird won the 2020 AACTA Pitch: Regional Landscapes competition and was selected for the 2019 Dame Changer Mentor-to-Market Project Accelerator.
Georgina worked as Producer Attachment to Joanna Werner on season one of the Foxtel drama series Secret City and on Dance Academy: The Movie.
Her Screen Canberra-funded short Past Imperfect screened at festivals in Australia and around the world, including the Byron Bay International Film Festival, Canberra International Film Festival, NYC Mental Health Film Festival and Flicks4Change LA Film Festival. It also received six awards at the Canberra Short Film Festival.
Georgina wrote and produced the half-hour documentary In The Cannes acquired by ABC TV.
