Guillermo Ignacio

Guillermo Ignacio is a first-generation Chilean-Australian screenwriter and producer from Melbourne.

He works on narrative, factual, and commercial audio-visual work across all stages of production as a jack of all trades. He is a co-founder of the Near Dark collective who are a diverse set of emerging creatives dedicated to depicting the changing face of Australia.

Guillermo’s written works are wry takes on family, masculinity, and overlooked characters on the margins like janitors, hoons and single-mothers. His ambition is to work with screenwriters to shape meaningful stories that entertain audiences.

He recently graduated from the First Break Victoria program.

When not at his desk, you can find him tramping the street at night like a stray dog.
