Haris Mirza

Haris Mirza is a writer, actor and filmmaker from Sydney.

Haris recently made his filmmaking debut in The Boy Who Was Afraid of Everything a five by seven digital-series which he co-wrote, produced and starred in. The project was edited as a pilot and had its international premiere at SeriesFest, Denver in 2024, taking home awards for Best Directing and Best Acting and the Audience Award for Best Comedy.

TBWWAOE was also in the official competition for Sydney Webfest and LA Webfest. Haris is currently in the process of developing the project into a longer format television series. Haris hopes to note take and work in writing rooms that tell character-driven stories and is also currently working on a slate of different projects, including feature films and half-hour shows. Haris loves looking into themes of grief, mental health, family and discovery, all through a lens of comedy. As a producer, Haris has studied at AFTRS.
