James Faulkner is an early-career writer from Naarm/Melbourne.
James graduated from the VCA with a Masters of Screenwriting in 2021. He is aware his timing wasn’t great but had a great time nonetheless.
Prior to this he spent four years as a house team member at The Improv Conspiracy and has performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival as part of the alt-comedy talk show It’s Talkie Time With Jackie Lime.
James has received funding from the City of Melbourne to develop historical drama The Lucky Country (with co-writer Brendan Wan), participated in the Australian Writer’s Guild’s First Break Victoria program, and worked as a note taker in both comedy and drama rooms.
James also has a Bachelor of Business with a major in Public Relations.
