Jason Reed

Jason Reed is a screenwriter whose stories provoke people into questioning their beliefs.

These stories explore existential and morally ambiguous areas through genres like suspense, mystery, thriller, and comedy. His work has been shortlisted for a number of awards and he has received development funding from Screen Queensland. He lectures about writing and storytelling, has written for video games, and adapted literary materials for film, television, and web series. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Film & Television. In 2026, his feature film Bad Taste was shortlisted for the AWG’s Emerging Writers’ Awards.
