Jasper Garner Gore

Jasper Garner Gore is a Sydney-based screenwriter and AFTRS graduate. He writes comedy and science-fiction and is currently developing two series, a feature and a musical.

During Covid-19 restrictions in 2020, Jasper Garner Gore and Rebecca Moret wrote and directed Tales for Uncertain Times, a five-part hybrid live and pre-recorded web series about fairy-tale characters attempting to get their quest-on during lockdown. Return to Sender, a half-hour TV comedy based on Jasper’s time working as a postman, was longlisted for the AWG’s 2018 Monte Miller Award and 2019 John Hinde Award, and was a finalist in the GenreBlast TV script competition in the same year.

Jasper has written and collaborated on several short films and in 2019 the script for his short, Special Delivery, was a finalist for the AACTA: Forever Unexpected competition. Judge Odin, a web series he created with his co-writer and wife Rebecca Moret was presented as part of the Melbourne Webfest Pitch iView event. Jasper has worked extensively in theatre as an actor and producer, and in 2017 was the dramaturg for Melissa Lee Speyer’s sold-out season of A Christmas Carol at the Kings Cross Hotel Theatre. Jasper and Rebecca’s Monte Miller nominated TV series Keeping House is currently under option with Beyond Armarna. This project draws on the several years the two of them worked as live-in housekeepers for Airbnb apartments across Sydney. They are not over it.
