Jemma is a creative and passionate filmmaker based in Naarm/ Melbourne.
She is drawn to cheeky, absurd comedies exploring themes around alienation, queerness, and dysfunctional relationships.
Her short films have toured internationally, won a Highly Commended award from Tropfest, and screened at CinefestOz, Sydney Fringe, and Melbourne International Comedy Festival to name a few.
She was a recipient of the Film Victoria and Stan Comedy Development fund along with her co-writers to further develop their half-hour comedy series, as well as the For Film’s Sake, Bird’s Eye View, and Brisbane International Film Festival Filmonomics lab for her horror feature script.
Jemma recently graduated from the First Break Victoria Program.
Currently she divides her time between directing and editing slick content with the team at Clemenger Studios and being obsessed with everyone’s dogs.
