Joshua Heaton

Joshua Heaton is a writer based in Sydney. Joshua has received international recognition for his work, with highlights including his feature-length comedy Paul Is Dead placing in the Top 50 of the Academy Nicholl Fellowship and scoring 8 on the Blacklist. His Christmas comedy Santa’s Little Helper received the Bronze Prize in the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards, was runner up in the Animal Logic Entertainment Screenplay Contest and finalist in Final Draft Big Break. Joshua graduated from UNSW with degrees in Civil Engineering and Commerce. He is an experienced marketer, product designer and product manager, and channelled the soul-crushing exhaustion and anxiety of his day-to-day professional existence into his shortlisted Monte Miller Award script: You’re on Mute.
