Kylie Aoibheann

Kylie Aoibheann is a trans writer, director and editor based in Melbourne.

Her short supernatural horror The Dysphoria won multiple jury awards at festivals including Fantastic Fest, Brooklyn Horror Film Festival and Melbourne Queer Film Festival – and was nominated for a 2026 AWGIE Award. The Dysphoria went on to screen at countless other festivals worldwide, including Melbourne International Film Festival, Fantasia, Palm Springs, Tampere, BFI Flare, Odense, Beyond Fest and Overlook. Her other short films include the psychological horror See for Yourself, streaming on ABC iView, and documentary Farewell Happy Fields, with celebrated author Fiona Wright. In 2026, her short film What’s Between Your Legs was shortlisted for the AWG’s Emerging Writers’ Awards.
