Kym Goldsworthy

Kym Goldsworthy is one of Australia’s most experienced and awarded TV writer producers. He is a 6-time Australian Writers Guild AWGIE winner, most recently in 2017 as a co-writer of the 4 part drama Deep Water (with Kris Wyld) which was awarded the Silver prize at the 2017 Seoul International Drama Awards. In 2019 he was a part of Screen Australia’s Talent LA delegation.

He script produced and was a writer on the ABC/HBO Asia series Serangoon Road, script edited both series of the ABC’s multi award winning The Code, was a writer and script editor on Sarah Lambert’s series Love Child and has credits on top rating series House Husbands, Packed to the Rafters, Crownies, The Strip, McLeod’s Daughters, White Collar Blue and the Emmy Award winning Beat Bugs.

From 2016 – 2018 Kym was the ABC’s Commissioning Editor TV Fiction and was an executive producer on series including Mystery Road starring Aaron Pedersen and Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner Judy Davis, Janet King, Pulse, and Friday On My Mind (The Easybeats miniseries). In 2018 he worked with Josh Wakely’s company Grace as Executive Script Producer and in 2019 was the Story Producer on EveryCloud’s series SeaChange, the highest rating Australian network drama for the year.

He received the Australian Writers Guild’s Hector Crawford Award for his body of script editing and script producing work and an AFI Best Original Screenplay nomination for his cult feature film comedy The Roly Poly Man.

Kym works across a wide range of genres and styles from animation and live action kids’ TV to primetime adult drama series as a writer, script producer, script editor and producer.
