Lily Cheng

Lily Cheng is a graduate of Macquarie University majoring in writing in drama. Her storytelling is deeply rooted in Chinese culture and mythology, and her writing spans diverse genres including action, fantasy, sci-fi and horror.

Lily has carved her path as a storyteller, achieving victories in the festival circuit with web series and short film projects that she wrote and produced. Her most notable screenwriting credits include web series Atomic Kingdom (WideBay ITV, C31 & C44), short film Huli Jing (Blacktown Arts) and co-writing the feature film Suka (Umbrella Entertainment, Amazon Prime, Roku, AppleTV, and Nine Network).

Lily most recently advanced her screenwriting career as a writer’s attachment with Tilt Media, supported by Screen NSW.

With over a decade of experience in the television industry, she has served as a production administrator for esteemed companies such as Beyond Productions, the Foxtel Group and Curio Pictures and has developed extensive note-taking skills.

Lily is determined to contribute her unique voice to inspire others to embrace the boundless possibilities that lie within every narrative. Above all, her mission is to join the ranks of female writers who push boundaries, challenge the status quo, and prove that no genre is off-limits.
