Mark Rogers is an award-winning playwright and screenwriter.
His play Superheroes was awarded both the Sydney Theatre Company Patrick White Award and the Griffin Award in 2019, subsequently premiering at Griffin Theatre in 2020. His follow-up play Naked & Screaming was presented at La Boite Theatre in 2021. Mark co-wrote short film Luna & The Brain Tuna, which was awarded Screen NSW’s Short-to-Feature Fast Track. Luna, the feature version, is in development with Closer Productions and Cosmic Scream. Mark is also a core member of re:group – one of Australia’s most critically acclaimed independent theatre companies. Their works POV and Auto-Tune tour nationally this year. In 2026, a feature film he co-wrote with Aaron Lucas, Lucky, was shortlisted for the AWG’s John Hinde Award for Excellence in Science Fiction.
