Nick Watson is an LGBTQ+ Australian comedy and animation writer with credits on animation for adults and kids, from Final Space, to Littlest Pet Shop, to unannounced projects with Olan Rogers, Starburns, Animal Logic, and Apple TV+.
Nick’s work blends animated comedy with sci-fi, fantasy, and the supernatural, and pairs absurd humour with heart in order to speak to universal themes that resonate with everyone.
Nick has also worked as a creative executive, producer, and script analyst for major studios, and as a screenwriting lecturer at the University of Melbourne and the VCA. He hosts the popular TV writing & business podcast Paper Team, with 200+ episodes and appearances at Wondercon and the Austin Film Festival, and runs the entertainment industry satire blog The Salmon Pages. Recently, Nick was announced as the first ‘Creative in Residence’ at the Australians In Film creative embassy ‘Charlie’s’ at the Raleigh Studios.
