Philip Dalkin is one of Australia’s most groundbreaking writers. As co-writer of the feature film 33 Postcards and writer of The Dragon Pearl, Philip set the unusual precedent of having written the first two official China/Australia Co-Production Feature Films.
Philip still holds the record for the longest running sit-coms on two networks. He wrote and co-created All Together Now (Ch 9) and Col’n Carpenter (Ch 10). He took over the script department on prime-time drama Stingers and turned it into a show that ran for eight years with top ten rankings – and was a core writer on the hit TV series Sea Patrol.
As a writer and script editor, he’s guided the creative direction of amazingly successful kids TV shows like H2O – Just Add Water and Dogstar and current hit, The Deep, seen by millions of children all over the world. He even received an unprecedented Australian Film Institute nomination for an episode of Dogstar in the ‘Best Drama Script’ category – even though it was a children’s, animated series!
