Rain Fuller

Rain (she/they) is on a mission to subvert stereotypes through comedies and dramas with heart.

Her writing (so far) questions preconceived ideas about refugees, ashram devotees and what it means to be a slut.

Exploring female-led countercultures while busting tired social conventions, their work is curious, challenging and visually bright.

In 2025, she developed her ‘alt rom-com’ series You’re Gonna Die Alone with Screen Queensland, co-created with Steph Tisdell (Total Control, Bump).

Just for Laughs producers invested in Rain’s short form series SLUT, produced by Melissa Nogales-Chapman (Everything’s Gonna Be Okay, Netflix comedy specials) and starring Betsy Sodaro (Duncanville, Disjointed) and Ben Lawson (Fireflies, Bombshell).

With Osamah Sami (Ali’s Wedding, House of Gods), Rain co-wrote the award-winning web series Two Refugees and a Blonde, which appeared on ABC TV and clocked up over 400,000 views on YouTube.

A comedy/drama series based on the ashrams she grew up on was developed with creative producers who worked on Transparent and Big Little Lies.

Upright Citizens Brigade and Groundlings alumni, Rain produced award winning sketches published on Elizabeth Banks’ comedy channel WhoHaha. They have completed training at AFTRS and under selected tutelage with industry leading screenwriting teachers in Australia and Los Angeles.

With a Bachelor of Communications from Monash University, Rain holds a Graduate Diploma in Anthropology. Her early career saw her work as a Cocktail Mixologist, TV Production Associate and Editor, before roles in entertainment Public Relations.

In addition to her narrative work, Rain has ideated and produced commercials for Australian brands.
