Ruby is an early career practitioner, new to the film industry and passionate about developing her stories for production on the big and small screens.
She has previously worked as an educator and continues to work as a notetaker and contributor in writers’ rooms working towards developing her own projects for production. Her stories often focus on family and friendship conflict as well as Indigenous and LGBTQIA+ themes.
In May 2025, Ruby was selected for the Seeding Storytellers program through Screenworks and the Australian Writers’ Guild. The program provided intensive training in note-taking, script coordinating and the basics of a writers’ room, conducted over three day-long online workshops led by industry experts Catherine Kelleher and Terence McCarthy.
