Ryan William Muir is a Melbourne-based screenwriter drawn to character-driven sci-fi thrillers.
His feature script Factory Town was a semi-finalist in the 2022 ScreenCraft Sci-Fi & Fantasy Competition, and he graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2025 with a Master of Screenwriting, where his sci-fi action feature Beyond Time received the 2026 Brian Robinson Memorial Script Award. He writes professionally for The National Theatre for Children, developing scripted theatre and digital content.
Ryan is passionate about using genre to tell stories of people losing and rediscovering hope in impossible situations.
