Serah uses comedy to explore longing, loneliness and consumption in the work she creates for screen and stage.
She was brought up in the Western suburbs of Melbourne to a South Asian father and Australian mother and spent countless hours pretending to like footy and navigate being bi-racial before it was cool. Serah found solace watching Australian cinema and winding up film spools; falling in love with story whilst her Dad ran an independent cinema. A degree in Creative Arts led to jobs in television production, and a Diploma of Theatre Arts has attributed to her writing with performance front of mind.
Currently a working Script Coordinator, Serah participated in AFTRS Talent Camp and undertook a 6-month VicScreen Key Talent Placement with Aquarius Films. Her debut play, Babes and Beer sold out both seasons and latest web series, Uncertain Times was commissioned by Multi Cultural Arts Victoria and the city of Brimbank.
