Tom Dickinson is a Palawa screenwriter and filmmaker from lutruwita, now living in Naarm while he finishes up his screenwriting degree at the VCA.
Whether he intends to or not, Tom writes about people trying to understand themselves and one another, usually when they’re least equipped to do either.
His stories often explore how people survive loss, search for freedom and find their way back to one another. Through his work, he hopes to bring First Nations perspectives and experiences into broader cultural conversations and connect with audiences across cultures and languages.
